Installation Instructions

Important: You must enroll for a subscription before using the app to ensure all features are active.

Note Your 7-day free trial starts on the day of first installation. Switching subscription plans does not reset or extend the trial—you’ll still get the full 7 days based on the original install date. After the trial ends, it won’t be available for new installs or plan changes. Please contact our support team if you need any assistance.

Adding the Virtual Try-On button is a two-step process:

Step 1: Add the App Block

Crucial Step: The app will not work on your storefront until you complete this step.
  1. From your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Find your current live theme and click the Customize button.
  3. Select your Product template where you want to add the button (e.g., Products > Default product).
  4. In the Product Information section, decide where you want the button. For example, just below the "Buy buttons" is a popular choice.
  5. Click + Add block.
  6. Select Apps tab, then click Virtual Try-On Button.
  7. The widget will appear in your preview. Drag it to your desired position.
  8. Click Save in the top right corner.

This completes Step 1. Now go back to your Store Admin page for the next step.

Step 2: Enable Products & Configure Images

Now you need to enable the virtual try-on for your products. Our app works best with a garment-only image (no model).

1. Prepare Your Image (Garment Only)

If you don't have a garment-only photo, you can use Shopify's built-in AI tools to generate one:

  1. Go to the Product page in your Shopify Admin.
  2. Open the image that contains the model.
  3. Click the Generate (Magic Editor) option.
  4. Use a prompt like: "Remove model from the image and give only the garment image as output".
  5. Crucial: When saving, select "Save as new" so you don't overwrite your original image.

2. Rename the Image (Required)

For the try-on to work correctly, we need to know which image to use.

Requirement: The specific garment-only image name MUST end with the suffix _aatryon.

Example: my_jacket_aatryon.jpg.
Ensure you update the image file name or "Alt text" if applicable to include this suffix so our system can find it.

3. Enable the Product

  1. Go to the Apps section in your Shopify Admin and open Virtual Try-On.
  2. Click on the Catalog tab.
  3. Find your product. You should see the new image you created.
  4. Toggle the switch to On.

You can now test the "Try-On" button on your storefront. You can also perform a test directly from the Admin panel by clicking the Test Try-on button.
